President / Treasurer Jeremy retired as a decorated combat pilot in 2013, after 20 years of service in the US Air Force. He then went on to earn an MBA at Embry-Riddle Aeronoautical University in Daytona Beach, FL, and has since focused on his real estate business, managing a variety of single-family and multi-family properties. Jeremy resides in Arlington, TX, and since 2014 has hosted over 400 short term private accommodation stays and maintained continuous Airbnb Superhost status. Jeremy.Fenceroy@STARTmovement.org BRAD HERBERT Secretary Brad and his wife have deep family roots in Arlington, three generations since the 1950s. For over 20 years, Brad has owned and continues to operate a commercial video production and media company. He converted his former primary residence in Arlington to a short term private accommodation, and has since added a second Arlington rental. In addition to restoring run-down properties, Brad enjoys being an ambassador to the city as an AirBNB Superhost with well over 100 5-star reviews. Brad.Herbert@STARTmovement.org SHOKOR JAWSHAN Board Member - Communications Director Shok's a UTA alumni, with a degree in Finance, and has lived in Arlington for 15+ years. He is a licensed general contractor and Realtor. Shok rehabilitated a dilapidated a house in Arlington with the intent to sell it, but in the rebuilding process, he fell in love with the home and his new neighbors! Rather than sell it, he made the house into something that others would enjoy staying in and would be a reflection of the beautiful city of Arlington. During his off-time, Shok has a passion for teaching people of all ages about health and well-being. Joe.Hernandez@STARTmovement.org ELIVRA SMITH Board Member Elvira is a resident of Arlington and has a background in counseling Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Elvira transformed her guest house into a short term private accommodation and has hosted less than 100 stays …all with 5 star ratings. Elvira is an avid DIY/HGTV fan who enjoys doing renovations and house staging as a hobby. Elvira has been an advocate and volunteer for victims of domestic violence for over 16 years. Board Member Marty is the President of Logotricity, a promotional products company she founded in 1991. After moving to Arlington in 2013, she became active in the community, serving on various boards including the Arlington Parks and Recreation Board of Directors. In 2015, after reading an article about Airbnb, she transformed the front bedroom and bath in her townhouse into a guest area and has been hosting guests as an Airbnb SuperHost with hundreds of 5-star ratings since then. |
